Good evening,ladies and gentlemen.It’s my honor to meet you all and share my speech.I’m james,a student from Class 14,Grade 10.Today,my main topic is choose.”To be,or not to be,that is a question.”It’s said by Hamlet,which is a famous character in the well-known tragedy named HAMLET,which is written by one of the greatest writers in the 16 century.The main idea of it asks us to choose,the two kinds of world,alive or dead.Every time we have choices and we always make a decision quickly without thinking.So we usually regret it.You probably say I will never regret it.This is my decision.It’s none of your business.Simmer down.Pay attention to what I will say and you might say it again.The choices can change our life.For example,me.I took part in the informatics Olympic Games last month.It’s nearly that I made every effort to win the first prize so that I can realize my college dream without taking the university entrance examination.How attractive!However,when the hard work and interesting games come towards me,I choose the game to waste time.And then,every day we have a little quiz,to cheat to get a high mark or to do it by myself but get a low mark,I choose the high mark for the reason that it is able to feed my vanity.After a quiz,everyone was tired and eagerly to go home.I always chose to go home instead of staying there to review the importance and difficulties of the quiz.Finally,when we were having the last competition,another choice appeared,to answer the awful question or to examine the other answers.I dubious about choosing.The result of that,l lost a lot of time.I chose latter at last.Could you guess whether I won it or not?The first prize line is 49,however,I only get 48.What a pity!Just half one point!I missed an excellent opportunity in my life!But now I could say nothing,and nothing can be achieved.As the saying goes,every little helps a mickle.Although those are only extremely little choices in our life,I choose all of them mistakenly so l had to suffer a lot now.May I suppose that you have found your treasure in my story?At least,my failure may tell the power of choice can change anything,even our destiny.Whenever you are doing a decision,please think more about your future and your life.I hope that,one day,we can say the way I chose,no matter what happens,I will go along it forever and never repent it.In the end,I would like to say” the destiny is not an opportunity,it’s choice”!Thank you for listening.
