谈判的目的是为了较好地满足谈判双方的需要,是一种交际、一种合作,谈判双方能否互相交往、信任、取得合作,这还取决于谈判双方在整个活动中的诚意和态度.谈判作为一种交往活动是人类自尊需要的满足,要得到别人的尊重,前提是要尊重别人.谦虚恭让的谈判风格、优雅得体的举止和豁达宽广的胸怀是一位成功谈判者所必需的.在谈判过程中以诚意感动对方,可以使谈判双方互相信任,建立良好的交往关系,有利于谈判的顺利进行.
谈判桌上谦和的态度和化敌为友的含蓄委婉,比任何场合的交谈都更为重要.例如,人挨着谈判桌,摆出一副真诚的姿态,脸上露出淡淡的笑意,对方发言时总是显出认真倾听的样子,常常是很讨人喜欢的.“是呀,但是……”;“我理解你的处境,但是……”;“我完全明白你的意思,也赞同你的意见,但是……”这些话既表示了对对方的尊重、理解、同情,同时又赢得了“但是” 以后所包含的内容,使谈判向成功又迈进了一步.
