1 因为前面有one.one .the other 是固定用法,不能加s.individual是“个人的”意思.
2 个人理解,as having taken out such and such a book应该是时间状语“当借阅一本又一本这样
的书籍时“

再答： as、when+doing结构在英语句子中很常见。 eg You can't imagine what difficulty they had when carrying out the plan. Tom lost his purse as passing the railway station. having done 的语法意义是 “在主句谓语动词之前已经完成某事” 愚见在本句中as having taken.... 应当修饰其前的 are unwilling to have names entered这一谓语。
