关于倍数表达和比较问题

但是 如果我要表达 这个东西比那个贵二倍 this one is twice as expensive as that one = this one is twice as expensive as that one = this one is twice THE COST of that one ,这里用 the cost 或者 the price
还有 北京比上海热 the weather in Beijing is much hotter than that in Shanghai ,那么如果是比上海热俩倍呢?the weather in Beijing is twice as hot as that in Shanghai= .Hotter than that in Shanghai = the weather in Beijing is twice THE HOTNESS of that in Shanghai .用hotness可以吗?
最后是表达这些东西现在比原来贵 Things now are more expensive than these in the past 那么 things now are more expensive than they used to be

贵两倍,可以说This costs twice as much as that one.例句 The CUP costs twice as much as the beans.
关于热的话,The weather in Beijing is much hotter than in Shanghai,没有that.热没有两倍的说法,只能说温度是两倍.但是好像也没这样说的吧.
Things now are more expensive than in the past.Now things are more expensive than they used to be.这两句都没什么问题.

再答： 不是太懂你的意思。你会说今天北京比上海热两倍或者三倍吗？这个二或者三是怎么算出来的吗？因为温度这种东西没有绝对的数量概念，所以一般只用hotter。
that我看国内的例句有that，不过在有些外国原文里面出现了这样的例句UK weather: the South really IS hotter than the North。所以看起来that这个词对于外国人好像可有可无。还有这样的例句The weather in California is so much hotter than it is in England。不过如果考试的话，还是按国内的选比较好。。。
