Mr Reece works on a farm.He and his wife grow a lot of plants and they have some
sheep.Every day they have to work hard from morning to night.One day,Mr Reece says
to his wife,“Let’s go to Portsmouth next Sunday.We can have a good lunch there and
then we can go to see a film.”
His wife is very happy when she hears this,because they always eat a lot,and she
doesn’t like cooking three times a day.
They go to Portsmouth by train and walk for about an hour.At 12:00,they want to
have lunch.Before a restaurant they see a notice(告示).It says,“Lunch:12:30 to 2:30,
1.5dollars.”
“Well,that’s good,” Mrs Reece says.“ We can eat for two hours for 1.5dollars here!
This is the place for us.”
这篇文章是不是对Mrs Reece 的讽刺呢?最后她说的那句话到底符合不符合那个饭馆打的广告的本来含义呢?最后一句话该怎么理解?

算是一个笑话吧.他们以为这两个小时之中用1.5美元可以吃任意的东西,其实不是.时间只是提供午餐的时间,不是自助餐.
