3.Though he has been joining the army for only two months...这里的join是个瞬间动词.加入了就加入了,只有已经加入的说法,而没有一直加入的说法.所以这句话可以改成：though he has been in the army for only two months,或者改成：though he joined the army only two months ago.但不能说成是though he has joined the army for only two months.为什么呢?还是因为join是个瞬间完成的动词,不能和时间段“for” 连在一起.以此类推,类似的动词还有：stop,start,come,go,等等.我们可以说已经停下、开始、来、去,但却不能说一直来、去、开始、停止.因为这样的说法是不符合逻辑的,不论在中文还是英文.如果你学习各种语言你还会发现,在逻辑上这些词都是不会和“一直”连在一起使用的.
4.有may have done,might have done 和could have done 的说法,而没有can have done的说法.might have done 和 may have done 表示不十分确定的猜测,程度might 比may 轻.could have done 表示本来能够做却没有没有做.类似的还有：should have done表示本来应该做而没有做.
5.是否有with + N + adj 这个结构?请你看看这几个句子,看能否发现这个结构：I am happy wih the book.Compare the blue book with the red book.He died with the work unfinished.We played with each other happily.He is a man with a heart good enough to be kind.I go there to meet him with a book old enough to be called an antique.
从这几个句子中看出,有with+N,with+adj+N,有with+N+adv,有with+N+adj（分词）,有with+N+adj+adv,却没有纯粹的with + N + adj 结构.实际上有没有这个结构,关键不在于with,而在于N和adj的修饰和被修饰的顺序.一般情况下是adj在N的前面的.adj放在N后的只有一种情况,就是adj用做后置定语的时候,这样的结构一般还连着其他的内容,尤其是包含有介词结构、不定式结构.如 The book old to me is Mary's.She's a girl nice to you.He's a soldier angry with enemies.He is a student good at sleeping.而N与adj之间的搭配关系在什么结构中（包括with结构）都不外乎这两种情况.
那么总结起来就是：没有纯粹的with + N + adj 结构.
