国画（Chinese painting）
汉族传统绘画形式是用毛笔蘸水、墨、彩作画于绢或纸上.工具和材料有毛笔、墨、国画颜料、宣纸、绢等,题材可分人物、山水、花鸟等,技法可分工笔和写意,它的精神内核是“笔墨”.
　　中国画在内容和艺术创作上,反映了中华民族的民族意识和审美情趣,体现了古人对自然、社会及与之相关联的政治、哲学、宗教、道德、文艺等方面的认识.
我对国画的关注不多.只学过一点点的工笔画.发现这是个技术性很高的画种.画画的时候心态必须非常平稳.完成一幅画需要好几天甚至几个月.
相比之下我更喜欢写意,因为写意画看上去更自由,画面的表现力也更强.在欣赏画的时候能感觉到画的灵魂.
无论如何,国画从古至今一直传承了下来.可见它是一门伟大的民族艺术.它是中华民族特有的文化.

I learned a few skills of deicate painting, very limited practice though. It demands great technique and good mood. From my experience, it usually takes days or months to finish a satisfactory piece of work. That's why I prefer freehand painting, as it offers more freedom to the painter and the work are more powerful. You may feel the painting's soul before it.
