Social Practice
With reference to the fact that universities nowadays emphasize more and more on social practice, I assume that we should have a rational insight into it.
As there is a growing concern over the topic among the general public, I believe that both advantages and disadvantages do exist in social practice. To begin with, it goes without denying that the social practice has brought lots of benefits to undergraduates. Topping the list is that students can broaden their horizon, open up their mind, stengthen their spiritual civilization by means of social practice, which is greatly poles apart from the education of the campus. In addition, students could improve their integrated ability on condition that they take part in a social practice. For example in coping with different kinds of problems with others, they are inclined to learn how to communicate and cooperate with each other. Seldom do the activities held in the campus enable students to improve those preceeding abilities.
On the contrary, others may take social practice with a pinch of salt. In the first place, they reckon that some social practices are of no that so-called significance because students are more likely to be proposed to study better in universities. Moreover, they think that the outcome of the social practice may not be satisfactory.
In my opinion, I believe the university plays an indispensable role towards this issue. What the university should do it do verify the results of the practice, but not to turn a blind eye to it.
