神思者”S.E.N.S.成立于1984年,由Akihiko Fukaura（深浦昭彦）和Yukari Katsuki（胜木由佳里）两人组成.深浦昭彦是玩摇滚出身,擅长现代音乐,负责作曲,混音,合成及编曲.而胜木由加里则偏爱古典音乐,负责的是作曲,编曲,钢琴及声音出演.乐队原名“Sensitivity Project”(感性企划室),后便更名为有“Sense”（感性）和“Cense”（焚香）两种意义的“S.E.N.S”.步入千禧年以后,“S.E.N.S”的创作理念,延伸到“Sound（声响）、Earth（土地）、Nature（自然）、Spirit（心灵）的层次.
1988年,“神思者S.E.N.S.因在日本NHK公共电视制播的纪录片“丝路系列”的《海上丝路sailing》中,担任作曲、编曲与演奏的工作而声名大噪.1989年,神思者创作了台湾导演侯孝贤的电影《悲情城市A City Of Sadness 》的原声带,S.E.N.S.这个名字便开始受到全世界的关注.从1993年起,他们也开始参与数部日本偶像剧的配乐工作,如《爱情》、《在光辉灿烂的季节中》、《L’oiseau Bleu青鸟》、《wish神啊!请多给我一点时间》、《Future二千年之恋》、《Flying现代灰姑娘》等等都是他们的作品.1996年神思者（S.E.N.S）为NHK制作的大型记录片《故宫》创作了主题音乐辑《故宫三部曲》.

S.E.N.S.was formed in 1984 by Akihiko Fukaura and Yukari Katsuki.Akihiko Fukaura played rock,and was good at contemporary music.He was responsible for composing,mixing,synthesis and editing.Yukari Katsuki,on the other hand,prefers classical music,focusing on composing,editing,piano and vocal.The band was originally named "Sensitivity Project",and was later changed to "S.E.N.S.",which encompassed both the idea of "Sense" and "Cense".After the turn of the millenium,"S.E.N.S." extended its meaning into "Sound","Earth","Nature",and "Spirit".
In 1988,"S.E.N.S." became famous for composing,editing and playing for the documentary film "Sailing",which was a part of a series called "The Silk Road" produced by Japan's NHK public TV broadcast.In 1989,S.E.N.S.created the original soundtrack for the movie "A City of Sadness" directed by a Taiwan director,Mr.Xiao-yan Hou.Since then,S.E.N.S.had spread its fame to the whole world.From 1993,they had also begun participating in music creation for several Japanese TV dramas,for example,"Love","In the Glorious Season","L'oiseau Bleu","Wish","Future","Flying",etc.In 1996,S.E.N.S.created a thematic music album "Gugong Trilogy" for the documentary film "Gugong" produced by NHK.
